Select Effort Level
At the Compose Box, users can choose an effort level, measuring quality, speed, and credits:
Medium – Default
Light – Simpler tasks
High, Extra & Max – Deeper analysis, complex reasoning, more thorough responses; longer and use limits faster
The /cost skill updates
In addition to credits used for the current task session, users can also view:
i) % of the monthly credit limit remaining
ii) Credits used month to date
iii) When the monthly limit resets
Automations at Cowork
Manage both scheduled and event-triggered tasks in one place.
Copilot Chat
Select a sentence, paragraph, or table in a chat response, and Copilot will only work on that content.
Share full chat session at Copilot Chat
Share the full chat session by selecting "Share Chat" from the share menu located at the top right of the chat UX.
Individual response – Share
Share an individual response by selecting "Share response" from the more options menu at the end of a response.
Copilot can now reason over enterprise data from Power BI reports and semantic models in both Chat and Cowork.
New model-driven answer cards
Rich answers for Entra and MS Account users based on user prompts, displaying dynamic content like weather, sports, etc.
Try again option for new response
Select "Try again" to generate a new response with the same model, or select a new model to get a refined response and rerun the same prompt.
Mobile users can send email from Copilot Chat
Mobile users can describe their message, and Copilot creates an embedded Outlook draft that the user can directly open in Outlook mobile to edit and send.
Copilot Notebooks
Two connected ways of work:
i) Lightweight experience in the Copilot App
ii) A workspace experience in OneNote
Copilot App
Quickly chat with Copilot, explore references, and create artifacts.
At OneNote
Deeper project work, expanded artifact creation, and team collaboration.
Notebooks stay in sync across the Copilot App and OneNote, and users can move between the two without losing context.
Teams
Change languages for meeting recaps with Copilot
Change the language for a meeting recap after it has been generated, using the translation button.
Word
i) Simply ask Copilot to add hyperlinks — no manual editing required.
ii) Copilot can use text and visuals from referenced files to help create more complex documents.
iii) When Copilot rewrites or refines text, it now highlights the exact word it edited. This more granular view makes it easier for users to review, understand, and accept changes.
PowerPoint
Assign tasks and notify relevant stakeholders in comments.
Strict brand adherence
Turn on brand restrictions to restrict Copilot to approved template slide master layouts.
Users can upload, edit, and delete their own custom skills in PowerPoint.
Translation capabilities in PowerPoint have now been moved from the ribbon to Copilot in PowerPoint.
Excel
Change History Skill
Copilot summarizes recent changes, identifies who made changes (human vs. AI), undoes specific edits, restores formulas, and returns the workbook to its previous working state.
Chat History
Preserve past conversations and sessions; pick up where you left off using the menu icon at the upper left corner.
SharePoint
Create and use personal skills in Copilot in SharePoint, usable across OneDrive and SharePoint. User-owned skills are saved as a markdown file in OneDrive.
Outlook
Custom engine agents are now available directly in Outlook.
Users can ask Copilot to organize messages, apply categories, create folders, manage inbox rules, and take action on meetings and events.
Planner
Planner Agent helps turn plan data into a polished status report covering progress, risks, status, and next steps.
Copilot supports creating Planner tasks and querying Planner task information.
IT Admin Capabilities
New data export capabilities from the Copilot and Agent 365 dashboards. Supports exporting de-identified, row-level metrics and attributes.
Consumption Dashboard
Managers, analysts, and admins can make data-driven decisions about GitHub Copilot investment with the new GitHub Copilot AI Credit usage dashboard.
